If there's one actress that has garnered a fair amount of praise and criticism recently, it would have to be Gwyneth Paltrow. The woman who had recently made a splash in "Iron Man 3" should be considered one of the better actresses as of late but it seems like more people have more negative things to say about her than anything else. Perhaps people are confused and part of me is as well. If she were to market beauty supply items, I'm sure a similar mixed reaction would come about.
Paltrow has definitely gained a great deal of negative attention and I think that her diet is one of the sources of this. She's someone who is proud to be vegetarian, though some argue that she is proud to a fault. She is so against the idea of eating meat that the general public believes that she is stuck-up because of it. Personally, it's tough to fault her because I think that her lifestyle has bled into how she cares for her family, which is excellent.
There have also been comments about her fortune and how it has gotten to her head, which I question the validity of. I can name off a good number of celebrities who have had stellar opportunities and proceeded to squander them; those are the ones to whom the criticism is directly aimed at. They were given chances people would kill for, after all. Paltrow is not someone who's into drugs or heavy partying from what I've seen; if anything, she's more of a stay-at-home mom when she's not acting.
If she was tasked with advertising any kind of beauty supply items, would she be the most attractive figure to the general public? Yes, she was Babble's "Most Beautiful Woman in the World" but that's just one audience, seeing as how there's another which seems to despise her. Sales have to be taken into account and sometimes your public speakers mean the most. I believe that strong companies on the matter like NewVo Beauty could use Paltrow, solely because of how she looks.
I am not going to discredit the idea that Paltrow has said some things which can get under people's skin but I believe that it shouldn't matter as long as they don't get into too much trouble. You never see Paltrow causing a scene in public, for example. You also do not see her terribly embarrassing herself in any way on TV, whether it's through a reality show or what have you. Regardless, Paltrow is very much polarizing and I don't see that ending anytime soon.
