Of all the vitamin types, B vitamins are one of the most essential for bodily metabolic function. As of late, B6 and B12 have been considered to help significantly for those who are trying to lose weight, and these vitamins have gotten a lot of attention.

B12 Vitamin

This vitamin is in much of people's diets naturally, as B6 can be found in meat, different nuts, vegetables and grains. The symptoms that someone is deficient in vitamin B6 could include inflammation of the cheeks and or tongue, and skin diseases, among other things.

Weight loss using vitamin B6

As is the case with vitamin B12, there does not appear to be any strong evidence supporting the role of vitamin B6 in weight loss. Upon further examination of vitamin B6, and how the body uses it in processes, we know that it stimulates the metabolism of lipids as one of the properties of this vitamin.

The problem of course is that getting excess vitamin B6 can actually be harmful as it can over-stimulate the thyroid gland. Weight loss could happen with too much B6, but it's dangerous so no one should attempt to do so.
