Shorten Your Workout But Still Get The Results

By Patty McPiggly

We ought to start by admitting that achieving and sustaining fitness can be difficult and arduous. That doesn't diminish the fact that staying fit is an important part of staying healthy. Luckily, it's not necessary to go to extremes to get good results. Results are possible even with some effort and putting time in. You could have fun as well.

You do not have to meet your fitness goals at the gym. However, if the thought of weights is not appealing to you you can maintain an excellent fitness level by practicing six simple exercises. These include leg raises, squats, pull ups, push ups, bridges, and handstand push ups.

If you are constantly failing to meet your fitness goals, it might be time to buy a new workout outfit to give yourself a boost. Even if it's a minor purchase, you can show it off. Ideally, by going to the gym!

Do you not have a lot of time for working out? Split up your workout. Do not increase the time you workout, but try to break it into a half. If you're trying to jog an hour a day, try doing a half hour right when you get up and another 30 minutes at the end of the day. If you're not interested in two trips to the gym, get one in somewhere else you find more preferable.

Take a piece of paper and establish a schedule for yourself. By writing things down, you are committing yourself to a plan and eliminating vague excuses. You should schedule a replacement workout if you can't avoid skipping one, and make it a priority equal to your regular exercise routine.

Get shoes that are going to help you complete each exercise you do with ease. If you fail to wear the proper shoes for the type of workout you favor, you are in danger of sustaining an injury. Not only that, but your feet will probably feel strained and uncomfortable post-workout, which can prevent you from wanting to continue your routine.

Make sure to exercise for at least a few minutes each day. Something as simply as taking the stairs at work, instead of using the elevator, can go a long way to improving your fitness levels.

It is always a good idea to use the cleaning spray and paper towels provided by the gym to clean each piece of equipment before you start your exercise. Think of the germs the other person might have left on the equipment. You came to the gym to feel good, not to become ill.

If you heed the advice in this piece, you should feel ready to get your fitness regimen started. Nothing can stop you from reaching your goals when you are motivated and continue to do the right things. You will notice benefits pretty fast, and they last your whole life.
